My hens and rooster are doing very well. The hens over a year old are almost done molting. I’ll be setting up a light in the hen-house to stimulate laying this winter. Chickens need 12 hours of light to stimulate laying hormone. It’s all about the amount of light regarding laying. Besides molting (replacing old feathers with new), lack of daylight reduces or stops egg production. I can’t identify this mushroom. Lavender, white gills.
It’s a cool, humid, high-gray day here on the foothills of the Cascades in Oregon.
