Sweet Williams (Dianthus barbatus)

Sweet Williams

Wild flowers left over from weeding my tobacco bed. I planted wild flowers with my tobacco plants last year. The lovelies were volunteers this year. I’ll be saving their seeds for next year. Having never seen this flower before I now love Sweet Williams. They do smell very carnation like sweet. I think I will dig up a new bed just for these flowers.

I’ll be transplanting my vine plants today, cucumbers, melons, squash, and pumpkins.
