Shaun’s family runs grey water from their washing machine to their vegetable patch, they don’t use organic soap but it is biodegradable. After a few years Shaun will check and adjust the acidity of the soil. They try to use neutral or slightly alkaline detergent as chicken manure is quite acidic anyway. You can see the tomatoes are going crazy, so is the squash and silver beet. Shaun likes to dedicate his first picking of silver beet to his chooks. His chickens share in the harvest as well and give back healthy organic eggs.
